Just a few minutes before 4am on May 20, 2011, a beautiful baby girl made her way into this world and into our hearts. She is
Anna...
....a beautiful name with an amazing story (Luke 2:36), how God shows the mysteries of his
purposes in history to His humble servants who steadfastly dwell in His presence
Elizabeth...
...meaning "God's promise" or "God is my oath," and a name which pertains to her
mother, Carol Elizabeth
Sills.
Holding all 8lbs of this blue-eyed little girl made my heart skip a few beats. At Carol's baby shower, the women prayed that Anna Beth might become a joy to our family, and the Lord has answered those prayers! Indeed, at 8 weeks of life, this little one is easy-going, fun to hold, and she smiles constantly both when her eyes are open and while she dreams. Here is the proof:
We pray not only that she might be a joy to our family, but that the Lord will use her mightily for the expansion of His kingdom. Our prayers for her are that she might know Jesus as Lord and Savior early in life and that she would walk with Him in holiness the rest of her days.
Though we wish we had the time to fill you in on every moment of her life, we will show brief snapshots of these first two months. The following will be a series of pictures with captions. We'll be posting more soon, but we just want to share these pictures so that we can let everyone see our sweet bundle of joy.

Love the pictures! She is such a happy little gir, so glad for both of you. ;) PS. Love Anna Beth's name, that would have been Peter's name if were a girl. <3 Brittany Gossett
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad for Anna Beth in that first picture....crying so hard because I wasn't at the hospital to greet her. I feel really bad my absence had such an effect on her....I hope she doesn't hold it against me forever.

ReplyDeleteLove to all,
